OASIS will begin enrolling new students from our waiting list for the 2021-2022 school year on May 3rd, 2021.
1. Please take the time to carefully read our OASIS K-12 Handbook. This is an important first step to ensure OASIS is a good fit for you! Make sure you understand our requirements, including those for student/teacher contact, 30-day reviews, annual assessment, and submission of work samples. Also note that we are an ALE (Alternative Learning Experience) which is a public school and NOT a "homeschool" program.
2. Check out our information on instructional materials so you understand your curriculum options.
3. If you feel that OASIS is a good fit for your family, please fill out the 2021-2022 waiting list and fill out our online enrollment forms. When notified that there is room in our school, you will need to request a Choice Transfer. To do so please contact your local school district office to have them submit a Choice Transfer request through OSPI's online system. They will need to know OASIS is part of the Orcas Island School District. Please allow a few extra days for your district to process this for you. We cannot enroll your student until we receive the online Choice Transfer.
5. Once we have received your Choice Transfer, we will send you a link to our online enrollment. Please fill out all fields and include immunization forms and a copy of your child's birth certificate.
Upon enrollment, you will be assigned to a certificated teacher who will review our program requirements with you and help you develop a learning plan. Welcome to our school!
